Suppliers in Dominica
The government of Dominica began its textbook scheme in 1996 in response to low attendance in primary and secondary schools and low pass rates in GCE and CXC. Free textbooks are provided for all primary school students and for Year 1 to 3 in secondary school. This provision of books has had a tremendous impact on performance on the part of the students. Private education suppliers include the likes of Cambridge University Press, which is represented by Jays Ltd., which carries a wide range of school texts and supplementary books and will be pleased to answer queries regarding any aspect of publishing by Cambridge University Press. Other major firms such as Pearson have a presence in the country’s English Language Training sector.
