ACU Policy and Research Unit

Established in 2000, the Policy and Research Unit now functions as one of the core services of the ACU and contributes significant added value to the whole of the ACU's portfolio. The Unit addresses a number of the ACU's key strategic aims and both contributes to existing discourse in the sector, as well as leading debate through new research on issues in higher education.

ACU Advertising

ACU Advertising has joined forces with jobs.ac.uk and the Guardian Weekly to offer universities world-wide coverage of their vacancies for a fraction of the cost of traditional press advertising. ACU Advertising's International Noticeboard enables all those seeking academic posts, whichever country they live or work in, to see your advertisement. While making full use of the latest internet technology we do not exclude those without these facilities; the range of coverage in print and on screen means that all eligible applicants have easy access to the full details of your vacancy by whichever means suits them best.

ACU Human Resource Management Programme

The programme forms part of a strategy to ensure ACU's relevance to all levels of its member institutions. For many years, the Association's main point of contact with its members was at the level of the Executive Head, where it continues to perform a valuable function in sharing good practice. As universities become more complex and professional in their outlook, however, there is a clear need for similar structures on a more specialist level.
